Briar is a registered dietitian and a qualified chef, she is a huge foodie! Briar enjoys all aspects of food, nutrition and clinical dietetics, and thrives on a challenge. Passions include; vegetarianism, maternal nutrition, nutrition for hormonal imbalances such as thyroid dysfunction and polycystic ovary syndrome to name a few.
Briar finished school and went on and completed a chef apprenticeship at Sky City Auckland, working in all of their kitchen and dining outlets. During this time her passion for good food and nutrition grew. Following her apprenticeship she went on and completed a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and then a Master’s of Science in dietetics at Massey University.
On completion of her studies Briar has worked primarily as a foodservice manager and dietitian - recent roles include; managing 5 Northland Hospital foodservices and Auckland Hospital foodservice as well as consulting for Prison foodservices.
Most important to Briar is ensuring that her clients are listened to and feel comfortable in the journey that we embark on together.
